Fresh off news of their selection as an official artist of 2020’s SXSW music festival, Ragamuffs are enjoying a banner year. First, a whirlwind West Coast tour last summer, followed by their maiden album-slash-EP (kicked off by a packed house at Crossroads at Hawaiian Brian’s with fellow Honolulu performers The Mauve, Goon Lei Goon, Kill Tuco and Wide Eyed Kids — video included!).
Next came the addition of their music to highly-coveted online playlists curated by Spotify’s editors, which earned the band hundreds of thousands of listens around the world and a whole new international fanbase. In an exclusive interview with B-Side HNL, Ragamuffs dish on their history and the sky-high aspirations of a young band on the rise (complete with tour photos courtesy of Andre Nuestro).
